The Sole Beneath Your Path

They sit in the corner

Dusty and barren

Your path now exhausted

Fitting only our prayers to heaven

They traveled the earth

Bringing fragments home

Soles now worn off

Chilling my bones

Fading splatters of blood

Releasing your soul

Vanish to the new life

Clinging to memories of ole

When I glare at them

My heart swells afire

The fearless path my dearest took

I can only admire

I am a widowed mother of three children, ages 11 to 19. I hope to encourage you through my trials and traumatic experiences. All my life, I dealt with heartache, and kept my head held high. Recently, I dealt with a heartache so big, it consumed me. Every part of me was lost and hurting. I never thought I would make it through. I did and I want to help you make it through your heartache, no matter how big or small it may seem to you.

I signed up to follow your blog but the confirmation has not come through…I’ll see what the glitch is. Meanwhile, I will pop in…

    Your reply to my comment…Wow!

To be able to dream of Jesus…so blessed…

Christine, I say this with absolute and unshakable belief – you will meet your loved ones again, all of us will.

    Peace and good wishes,

  5. will you walk me threw the award thing. love the poem btw 🙂

    • Hi Christina! You can start a new post on your site and copy and paste the rules and picture of the award from my site to yours, or anyone’s site that has them. You can also put the award on the side or bottom of your site. Go to your widgets under your dashboard and slide the “image” widget over to where you want the award picture and copy and paste the url of the award picture to the image box. I hope this helps, if not let me know, I will walk you through step by step. Good luck!

Thank you for reading the poem and commenting. 🙂

  6. Your poem reminds me of these words, Christine, if I may:

    Deep loss…beautiful memories…temporal parting…future hope…

    Peace upon you, Eric

    • Eric, Of course you always may! 🙂

This is such a perfect description from you, and a beautiful order of events.
I was honestly hoping for your feedback. Thank you for your interpretation.

      I love…temporal parting…future hope…
Wouldn’t it be nice to truthfully know if we all meet up again someday?

My son attends church but does not discuss his fears or worries often. Out of the blue, he asked me last year how did I really know he was saved. Everything I explained, he still asked, …but how do you know? I referred him to passages of the Bible and that night, he dreamed Jesus came down and took everybody in the world home. He also showed him the ones who didn’t go to heaven. He said the first person he saw in Heaven was his Daddy. His description of Heaven matched the Bible description. We talked for an hour or more. I was in amazement of the descriptions he gave me, and he was obviously satisfied with the answers he received. He hasn’t asked again. 🙂 I was excited for him to dream of Jesus, which I never have, and I was clinging to the hope of seeing Jeff and other loved ones again, as this has been a daily question in my heart. This is how I perceive your future hope. Very beautiful Eric. Thank you!

  7. And maybe Jeff too is reading this blog from heaven 🙂
